The Guys were founded in early 2003 by Blueberry Bear, Ooh-Aah-Aah the chimp and Blanky. They are Jake's best stuffed friends. They accompany him to bed each and every night, and Jake enjoys conversing with them.
The Guys went through a period of strong growth about a year ago. Every stuffed animal Jake received was a new Guy. Even cheesy beanbag animals from birthday party gift bags became Guys (sorry, Kitten and Jaguar). When the posse peaked at about 11 Guys, and it was too difficult to locate all of them before bed ("Where the **** is Scamp?!), we announced to Jake that he needed to initiate cutbacks. Hence, many Guys were laid off...in fact we are back to cofounders Blueberry, O.A.A. and Blanky.
Jake loves his Guys. One morning he woke up and groggily asked me, "Mom, is it okay if I go on the computer? I told Blueberry I would show him the Batman game." So he set Blueberry on the chair and proceeded to teach him about baterangs. There are many nights when I hear Jake whispering to the guys about what they will do the following day. Grace has been touched by The Guys as well. In fact, she now asks for Guys when she goes to bed. She then throws them on their heads, but I'm sure she will come around.
Blanky is dressed as Spiderman, Blueberry as a pirate, Ooh-Aah-Aah as a cowboy. I have no idea who that strange fellow is.

Ha! I love kids imaginations. That's hilarious that he calls them "the guys." He seems like such a cute kid. Robyn tells me he is so polite, and is such a good little boy. I want to see Grace again. She looks so cute. I bet she has the funniest personality. I only saw her once when Sarah, or Robyn were babysitting that one time and we all hung-out. She was a lot younger. I think I was pregnant then. Next time I come up to R.S.M. we'll have to all go to the pool or something.
Thanks for all the good clothes. She seriously wears them all the time, if you haven't noticed yet. I'll try and remind myself to take pictures of her when she is wearing them. I love this post! I remember having "some guys", and I seem to remember that you did too! The picture of Jake is a riot, and the one of Grace is really cute (who would think that behind that cute face lurks "Queen Demando and Destructo"!).
After speaking with you, it has become clear that since Robyn can't seem to get her blog together, we will just have to do it for her.
