Yesterday my parents so generously treated us to a day at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana. I was looking forward to teaching Jake the workings of the world, envisioning him as his generation's Mr. Wizard. Well, the day was spent dashing from exhibit to exhibit, without any mention of science, but we all had a great time. Here are some pictures from the day...
Jake and Grandpa researching fossils. Even at a museum
we can't keep him away from the computer.
Grace and Grandma explore the mysteries of rare wet sand.
"Isn't it fun to get out of the house and do things we don't normally do?"
They have chairs that are attached to pulleys, in which you sit and pull yourself up. Jake conquered this feat with ease.
Others weren't as lucky. Ouch.
The Science of Being Cute

I love the pictures and the story you tell along with them. I love the picture of Jake climbing the rope and then Matt right after it. I was laughing so hard that Dave turned around and asked what was so funny. By the way, you look really pretty in the picture of you and Jake staring at the computer. Way to go!!
Wow. I can't stop looking at the picture of you and Jake. You are really tan.
Love the pictures. Grace is so dang cute. I agree with Robyn, you do look pretty.
More great photos!
The one of Matt will make a good blackmail photo - make sure to keep it handy.
I found the one of Jake and Dad fun - they both probably both "compute" on the same level! We should have listened in...
And Robyn - stop obsessing on the tan - you must KNOW that after she slapped up all the other photos, she spent time touching up her own photo before posting it... (and where it the link to YOUR blog? - shouldn't your good friend Christie have it posted off to the side? You know - right next to the COUPON link???)
Oops - I just noticed that the coupon link is no longer there! Well Robyn, maybe Christie realized her faux pas and took it off and will replace it with a link to your blog...
.....the coupon link has mysteriously reappeared......Mwhahahaha..........
P.s. I love that your mom comments all the time. My mom doesn't even know what a blog is,I don't think?!
