I will have something more fun to post about soon, but for now I just thought I would pass along some info about a couple of toy recalls that my mom told me about. First of all, we have about four of these toys. And if that was not deadly enough, apparently James is on the wrong side of the tracks (ha!) as he is covered in lead. As are other Thomas and Toxic Friends toys. Which we have.
So if the nitrate filled hot dogs, the hormone ridden milk, and gallons of partially hydrogenated oils I have been feeding my kids do not do them in, by golly, their toys will!

Yeah, I looked on the FP website last night. We have 3 of the Elmo toys being recalled. I haven't had a chance to go through the Thomas stuff yet. All in the name of keeping our kids safe.
I just got an email about this. I thought we were safe because we don't have any Sesame Street, Dora, or Diego toys, but then I looked through my toys and found 2 things: a plastic (lead) Elmo that laughs when you fling its head back and a blue Thomas the Train that I just got recently.
You gave me both of them. Wow. I don't even know what to say.
Poison???? Seriously? Okay I liked them too.....When I was in 7th grade. What was I thinking?
Oh my gosh, my speakers were on without me knowing and that song blared out of nowhere. I just read Jen's comment and am laughing at how you put these songs together with your posts. I didn't know they sang this song.
I think its strange they say "only toys purchased between May and August". So if I went to Kohl's and bought a tube of Dora-leaden toys on April 30th, its okay?
Confusing!
Maybe I'm confused because I used to chew on my lead-painted crib in the 60's....
