I'm with you, bubble gum ice cream??? Robyn, sick. Do you really have the taste buds of a four year old? Just kidding. But really, you guys should try the cake batter yogurt from Golden Spoon. YUM!! I forgot about it until just now.

And, that Oprah was horrendous. I should have deleted it from the DVR.

Were you really born in Uruguay? (I can be very gullible, so don't laugh.)

Uraguay???? More like Houston, Texas (it is like another planet there though.)

You were kind of named after a book. There was a popular book titled "Christy" when I was a kid, and I liked the cover and the name. I thought the "ie" was cuter. (they still sell it on Amazon if you are interested - Catherine Marshall wrote it).

Stop watching Oprah. She is such a narcissist. Ugh.

If you think Bubblegum ice cream is rancid, then how about my grandkids brushing their teeth with (gag) watermelon toothpaste????

You know what, Mom? How quickly you forget what Oprah did for your ... err ... upper region(?). Even you marveled at her bra episode, okay?

Also, I am named after a book cover? It's not even like you liked the book, just the cover. Hmmm. That might say something... I will always tihnk of Kellie MArtin (the girl from Life Goes On and ER) who played Christy in the miniseries. My namesake.

Tonya, I was trying to be exciting with Uruguay. I know my exotic beauty can be confusing, but my mom sold me out. Yee haw!

LOOK...The ONE AND ONLY time I watched Oprah, I was very sick and it was the bra episode. In between running to the bathroom and throwing up, I learned that I was not actually a 36B, but a 34D(!). I confess that I was amazed when I tried on a proper fitting undergarment - HOWEVER, Oprah still makes me want to run to the bathroom and throw up.

And yes, you are named after a book cover. When I was little I thought that the girl on the book cover was so pretty running down a hill with a bouquet of flowers and I never forgot that. Is there a problem with that Ms. Preggers, who toyed with calling little whozzits after a character in LOST?????? Ha!

Blue hair, pink eyes....I can't wait to see what this new little one looks like.

Wait, what's the name, what's the name? Please tell us! Oooooo did you want to name him Sawyer?

I'm with your mom! Sometimes, with all her knowledge and education and whatever, Oprah can say the stupidest things and sound so condesending (sp)! But I do like her give away shows. I get so jealous. But I like that she has the power to make other people feel good and actually does something about it!

Sawyer Hobson. Awesome.

Christie,I am so proud of you for completing the survey. I love getting to know you better.

Mel, I must say, I agree with you on the Oprah thing. I started watching her when I stopped working, and while I enjoy some of her shows, I am tired of her treating Gail like a peasant. She can be so rude sometimes. We all know she's rich and used to the good life, but sometimes she takes it a little too far....like when she abandoned Gail during a workout and drove off on a golf cart with her cameraman. Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! I was laughing so hard! Did anyone see that episode?

And Jen, the give away shows are great, BUT she has gotten a little stingy in her years. One year it's cars and laptops, next it's a $1,000 to spend on SOMEONE else(kidding, it was a great idea but she should've at least let them keep the Sony camcorder), and this year, a beach bag with an Ipod? Come on Oprah, let's take it up a notch next year.

Christie and Tonya,
I have not had bubblegum ice cream in years. When I was young, my family would go to Clark Drugs after Family Night and they had the best bright blue bubblegum ice cream. I would spit out the gumballs because they were too hard. Good times....

Christie, It seems appropriate that your mom would name you after a girl who left home at age 19 to live her dream of teaching children in the mountains (Carden), whose faith was tested, and had to decide between two rugged mountain men. I'm glad you chose Matt. He's got that rugged, handsome Charles Ingall kind of look.

I only wish your mom would've spelled your name like the book. It is so hard to type Christie. The ie at then end really makes my fingers stretch.

These comments are cracking me up. I totally believed the Uruguay thing, too, Tonya. I mean I was skeptical but Christie, you convinced me with the "not so boring now!"

Clever answers, Christie. I love how you answer the question by making up a better question or answer. Fishnets and snowboots. Maybe Deb can wear that in Napolean II.

I must stand up for my woman O. I think she is the closest thing you can get to being a magical queen on the planet. Whatever she wants she can make happen. Anything she can imagine. Who wouldn't let that power seep into her head? That said, Robyn, I do agree that she should have let all the audience members keep the camcorder on the $1000 give-away episode. What was up with that?

Oh, also, Holiday is a good movie. And it totally had a twist (the kids behind Jude at the door).

WHO do you THINK you were named for, Christine MARIE???????

I read "Christy." It did have a really sappy cover, kind of like an Appalachian Sound of Music. The protagonist was a real do-gooder. YOU are a MUCH more interesting and talented person.

Sorry never watch Oprah. I get my crying done at the gym. I choose the treadmill in front of the screen showing the Food Network, and huff away watching the Barefoot Contessa pour 5 cups of cream and 8 pounds of butter into a huge pan of pasta and then eat it. Really makes you tear up.

I agree about chocolate chip cookes and ice cream, but I think I need to try that Golden Spoon stuff.

Love MARY (aka MARIE) E

Christie's Mom said...

HAHAHAHAHA They shouldn't have the Food Network on at the gym - cruel!

And Christie, there you have it. It's all
Mary E's fault. SHE was the one who had the book to begin with! And Marie=Mary?? No.

Okay, this is wierd. I just went to your blog and one minute I see this thing where you tried to add ben folds five, and the next minute, it's gone. Is this like one of the "where's Robyn" games?

Did I win, cause I was the first to notice it? I'm going to try to look for it again!

We always have the volume down on the laptop at home in case Makena is sleeping or something, I know lame, but you can hear everything in our house.

Anyways way cool! How did you do that? And how do you and Tonya have your sitemeter with all those pretty colors. Mine is only green because I got the free one!
