Happy Birth Giving Day

Twenty seven years ago, today, my mom suffered the tortures of labor to bring me into this world. I was my parent's first child, and the only one who came out perfect. So, today, I say THANK YOU Mom (and Dad, but you just sat in the waiting room)!

When I was little, I always wanted to be a mom, just like mine, with a home filled with kids and lots of time to sit around and eat bon bons. Here I am today, the luckiest woman on the planet, with two beautiful children and a husband who tries his hardest (haha! Just kidding!). I love my life. I know it sounds cheesy, but it feels like a dream come true.

Since having Jake, I think it is more appropriate to say "Good Job!" to the mother of the birthday person. (Really, what did the baby do? Cry? The mom did all the work.) Mom, I love you so much, and I know that I was more than worth all of the effort. You couldn't have asked for anything more ... Me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTIE!!!! THE BIG 27! Even more important, happy mothering day to Melinda. You raised a very intelligent, beautiful, loving, and creative daughter. She is such a good mom! It's all because of you so I think today should be your day!!! Christie, I hope you will include your mom in your festivities.

Wow! I almost had an emotional moment when I was done reading this blog entry! (crazy, I know...)

I am going to print this out, so next time we play board games and are on our second glass of wine and you and your brother start the traditional "remember when Mom did this stupid thing" reminiscing, I can pull it out. I'll probably need it this Thursday!

Happy birthday! I love you very much, and you were worth ALL THAT EFFORT! (Why can't you make the words in RED, BOLD letters when commenting????).

Wish I could M. Bell Ish...

Haha! :o)

After speaking with you on the phone this evening, I believe it may be a good idea for you to print out a copy of this post for yourself.

Next time Jake decides to "run away" at Disneyland because you "don't love him", you can remember that...

"...it feels like a dream come true...."

How sweet, a tear. I think that is so sweet. I only wish my mom would comment on my blog.I forgot to say what a beautiful picture that is of you Melinda. Now I know where Christie gets her good looks.

Mom, I will frame the post because you actually used the word "emotion"! I am so proud of you!

Robyn, I'll show you a great picture of how hot my mom was/is. Mom, can I borrow that picture of you and Dad at Halloween? You know, in the cat costume?
