A Picture is Worth ... a Spanking

We heard screaming from the kids room yesterday and ran in to find Jake in tears (mostly crocodile...) and a guilty look on Grace's face.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Well, mom, well, well, umm, mom." Grace stammered. "I know. I will draw a picture to show you what happened."

Normally I am not a negotiator during punishment sentencing (shaddup, Mom) but I had to see where this was going.

Grace began drawing and, as she drew, she provided us with commentary on what went down.

I think she will be a courtroom illustrator, or a police sketch artist. Or a boxer.

Wow. "shaddup mom"??? Harumph!

Let me guess. You thought this was so cute (and okay, it is...) that she didn't get in trouble after all. She won?

I vote for boxing. Uncle Ryan would be proud.

a picture to explain the situation?! hilarious! is this the first time she's done this or a frequent way to let you know what went down?

Love the distraction tactics in this girl.

I love Grace's drawings! This one is almost as good as the one she drew to show you how much she loved you! Too funny!

And she is so smart, too! I wish I could have thought quick on my feet like that when I was little. I could have certainly halted many a spankin's. :)
