Last night I was doing laundry and Grace sauntered into the hallway and flung her arms around my legs. I knelt down and loved on her, and then she said, "Mommy, I have something for you. Follow me."
She led me down the hall, through my bedroom and into the bathroom. With a swipe of her hand, she knocked over a glass vase on the counter, and pulled out the dusty fake hydrangeas that occupy the vase.
"These are for you."
Who needs dozens of roses or lilies, when you can receive dusty, curiously blue fake hydrangeas from the most beautiful four year old in the world (said with no bias, of course).

Love that picture! Your mom is adorable! She left a comment on my blog. I think we should take baby Ryker to the midnight showing of the Star Trek Movie too!!!
Sweet Grace!
I love how her little mind works.
...are you SURE she didn't break something???
By the way - you have trained her at an early age. When one wears a bathing suit and a camera appears, slap a hand on the upper thigh area for a slimming effect. Well done Grace!
Note to Cortney - Thank you for your kind words. I do not think Christie has ever called me adorable. More like annoying or obnoxious. Perhaps you, Ryker and I should attend the midnight showing. Now that I think about it, I am not sure that Christie deserves to be an honorary member of Star Fleet.
Wow, Christie, if you don't mind... I'd like to ask your mom out on a date! Christie's mom, name the place!
That sounds like trademark Grace...so sweet in her very own unique way.
