Congrats Melissa and Jeff!

Yesterday we celebrated the engagement of our good friends Melissa and Jeff. What a great party! It was held at Melissa's mom and step dad’s home in Surfside. The home is literally on the beach. It was so beautiful, and the Hawaiian food was awesome. It is fun to watch people come together to support a couple ready to start their life together. Melissa and Jeff are both really sweet and genuine, and we are so happy for them.

But enough about them, you won't believe who lived next door! Our new best friend Cameron Diaz. Okay, so we didn't really interact with her, or even look at her for too long so as not to appear paparazzi-like, but we did get a glimpse of her and we heard her talking and laughing. So we are practically family. We were trying to make Grace get "lost" in her beach house, so Cami would come out and say, "Is this your little girl, she is so cute! Can I buy you a hybrid vehicle?", but Grace wasn't going for it. There's always the wedding.

Watch out Runway Moms, Christie and Grace and on there way!!!
What a great picture! I can't believe that you didn't put Grace on Cameron Diaz's porch and ring the door bell. Then you could have walked up a minute later and acted like Grace was lost, well as I type this I realize that would have made you look like a bad parent. I think that we can come up with a plan before the wedding.

Is the wedding going to be at her parent's house on the beach? Is Justin Timberlake going to dance and sing at the reception? You better "Rock your Body" onto Cami's porch, Grace or no Grace. Who cares if she thinks you're a stalker? Just get a picture and run! Put it on the blog!

Wow, that's cool. Where's surfside? And what do these people do for a living? Nice. I agree with Rob, just b e obnoxious for a minute, it's worth getting an up close shot. Why am I even saying this, your not there anymore. Sounds like it was fun.

Okay- So it has been awhile since I have read your blog... and I am happy I did. I love the idea of having Justin singing at the reception. I will have to run that by him the next time I am home. Do you think that his new song "Sexyback" is tacky to have our first dance too? Let me know what you think. P.S. I still laugh when I think about Jake leaning back on the beach chair saying "This is the life".
