Grace was invited to attend a Ladies Tea Party yesterday. It was probably one of the sweetest cutest things I have ever seen. First we got her all dolled up in last years (and probably this years) Easter dress. She kept saying how much she liked to wear this dress and asked many times, "Is it Easter?!"
The tulle and bows could not hide her mischief, however.
Here we are arriving for tea. (Seriously, what is my hair? Do I need bangs?)
Guess where Grace headed first? The dessert table! The food was beautiful. The couple who hosted used to cater, so we were really treated to some yummy goodies.

I could tell Grace was a little intimidated by all of the pretty dishes and fancy stuff. She walked very delicately around the room (a rare sight with Grace!) and truly acted like a little princess. She was the youngest one at the party. (And the cutest ... What? Did I say that?)

Of all the yummy sandwiches, homemade scones, and delectable treats, Grace chose to gorge on grapes.

One of her favorite parts was pouring cream into her tea. She bravely tried the tea, but I don't think she'll be asking for it at home any time soon. Again, I couldn't get over how cute and feminine she was throughout the afternoon. That might sound weird, but she plays with Jake all day and is usually impersonating a Pokemon or a Mario brother. I need to remember to take advantage of doing girly things with her more often.

Grace LOVED the Martinelli's. She drank several glasses. Then the polite, reserved Grace morphed into high-on-sugar Grace who led the little girls in a game of Hide and Seek.

The party was so fun. A Mommy-Grace outing was long overdue and I am so glad we had the opportunity to go to this. I am already looking forward to the next one!
