More Easter Eggcitement

Sunday morning I woke everyone up nice and early (before six) for baskets and the egg hunt! I had to be at church shortly after 7, and darn it if I was going to miss all the fun. Matt was so happy.

Anyway, this year the Easter Bunny was a bright little fellow, and stocked up on summer items (park/pool) to fill the baskets (sand pails). No more wind up chick that ends up lodged under the oven. Instead, they got goggles, water guns, kites, etc. Grace also received Bunny Surprise! This bunny has a velcro tummy which opens up to reveal her 2, 3, or 4 baby bunnies- surprise! Now my kids are bewildered and looking for my velcro strip so they can pull out their baby brother.

Cue the egg hunt and, again, the Easter Bunny was using his noggin. Who would have thought that eggs would be taped to the ceiling, suctioned to windows, or hanging from knobs in our home? (Thank you Willy Wonka, and the "anti-gravity" egg pack!) Another mysterious location...

Alas, I cannot end this post without a shot of our Easter princess in her special dress. I could not stop looking at how stinking cute she looked. I wish we had a better picture, but oh well.

And maybe you wonder why there aren't many pictures of Jake. Probably because when we tell him to ham it up for the camera, he does this (or something as equally bizarre)...

Howling like an Easter wolf. (???)

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!!!

Eggs in the toilet? Jake howling? The kids looking for your velcro strip? Uh, lets not forget that your Grandma, ahem, my mother reads this blog! She is going to think you are nuts!

Hi Mom! Christie really isn't nuts! Um, well not too nuts, um, uh...Okay, fine. She is a little nuts. Family trait. Passed down from mother to daughter. You must take some of the blame. Haha!

Oh Christie, Jake looks like he's praying. What a spiritual young man.

Grace is ADORABLE! She looks like a princess! She is so beautiful.

Fun stuff from the Easter bunny. I like the bucket idea. Perfect for summer! And where the heck do you find things like the Willy Wonka defying gravity (oh no, I'm getting emotional because that's one of the songs from Wicked) eggs? That is hilarious!
