Ha! Award for the cheesiest blog title ever goes to....
Anyway, we had such a fun weekend, I wanted to post a few pics to share. Friday night Jake spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's. The first Saturday morning of every month, Home Depot does a project with kids; it is now sort of a Jake/Grandpa "thing". The kids get an apron, to keep, and make really neat projects. For free. I highly recommend taking your kids, boys or girls; Jake always has a great time. Anyway, we met up with my parents and Jake shortly after that, for our Easter picnic! The weather was perfect...
(being slightly sarcastic)
The threatening clouds could not mar our day, however! We played badminton, basketball, volleyball with a giant purple ball that my mom said looked like a gay pride item, shot off rockets, had an egg hunt, and participated in many other fun activities. Mostly, we were so active because if you didn't keep moving frost bite was inevitable, but who cares. It was super fun. Some pics...
My mom playing badminton. Honestly, the best part of the picnic was really my mom playing volleyball, but we were too busy laughing to get a good shot of that. Mind you, the ball was the size of a large tire, and she only had one glass of wine. Love you, Mom.
Spring training
Rocket launching. This was really cool!
All in all, the picnic was a lot of fun. Mad props to my mom who arranged the whole thing. So that was Saturday...

Wow. I think my cold medication is making me hallucinate. I can't imagine my loving daughter would post unflattering photos and remark about how poor my volleyball skills are (I got all the grass stains out, by the way).
It really WAS fun - so glad we didn't let the weather deter us!
HOW FUN! I love badminton! Seriously. I do.
I think you look great Christie's mom. I was wondering who that beautiful young mare was with Grace.
Christie, great usage of the word mar.
That rocket launcher looks so cool! Do you guys have a volleyball net?
LOL, PP!!! Mare? As in horse???
It's meant as a compliment Christie!!! Don't you ever hear people calling men "stallions?" I just thought that since a mare is the opposite of a stallion, that it would be more appropriate. But you in NO way remind me of a horse at all!
Oh, Robyn. You should have left it at calling my mom a horse.
Snort, snort, neeeiiigh, snort, snort.
Translation: Robyn, the adoption is off.
