Christmas Happenings

This is what happens

when you do this:

And, in other news, Simon and Holly have returned! These two pesky elves cause too much mishief at the North Pole, so Santa drops them off so we can keep an eye on them for him. Last year they did many naughty things, while we slept, like spread t.p. and toothpaste all over the bathroom, got into the Christmas cookies, and made popcorn and played video games all night. Can't wait to see what they do this year. Jake said he actually saw Simon run across the room this morning! (...???)

We had a get together at Matt's brother's home over the weekend. His wife made a yummy meal, and the kids opened presents. It was really fun. How nice it is to get together with family and reflect upon the spirit of Christmas...

I love this picture of Grace. Good idea on the bell bows Mom!

Merry, merry Christmas!!!

Well, Grace can join her Uncle Ryan on the naughty list after he rifled through all the gifts under the tree looking for his and then started poking, etc. to figure out what they were....wonder where he learned that? Can't imagine...

Glad to see the family Christmas spirit! Nothing like a little swordplay to get in the mood!

Those bell bows are cute, and I hope Simon and Holly don't cause too much mischief! (Make sure Simon stays away from the creek at Cherry Park...).

Simon and Holly sound like stripper names. What's going on at the North Pole?

It's okay Grace. Maybe next year mommy will wait until Christmas Eve instead of October to put all the presents under the tree. How do you expect her to wait so long? Is that the princess memory from Target for $3.99? Awesome!

Did Emma initiate the sword fighting?

Grace, you look adorable in that Christmas dress with those bells in your hair. Add some black knee high boots and watch out boys! Tay Tay is going to love that dress next year.

I know Melinda. I've heard about what goes down at Cherry Park. Watch out for teenagers making out there. It was a hot spot when I was going out with...I mean, I heard my friends would go there sometime.

Hi, Christie! (I'm Robyn's friend), I was lurking on your blog and HAD to tell you how darling that picture of Grace is. I can't even stand it. I love those Santa dresses!

I love that you have elves that cause all kinds of trouble at your house. I love Christmas even more as a parent than I did as a kid. It's even MORE magical to see how much fun our kids have.

Eeeee! I am so excited to have people other than Robyn and my mom comment on my blog, I am beside myself. I mean, I like having Robyn and my mom comment too, but it is fun to have new (g-rated) comments.

Robyn, please do not go to that dark place known as your past. Between the stripper elves, knee high boots, and your antics at Cherry park, I am becoming concerned. Crazy Mormon.

Hi Tonya! You are right, everything is so much more fun with kids (except grocery shopping). Now if only I can keep Grace from opening the rest of her presents.

I was never a stripper.

Robyn - I can not comment on your blog, but I want to let you know that Trent is crying in that Santa photo because he KNOWS a FAKE when he sees one! C'mon! That phony has dark eyebrows, and looks to be about 25. Even the belt is askew - can't blame Trent one bit! He could be a "Megan's Law" Santa! Run Trent, Run!

Um....taking the grandchildren to Cherry Park will now never be the same....

Melinda, Why can't you comment on my blog? You have a username:mom so you should be able to. I've missed your comments. I'm totally kidding about Cherry Park. My ex-boyfriend lived right next door and would always want to go there but I was always afraid of homeless people so we never went there at night.

Homeless people?!
